Connecting Your First Slack Channel

Learn how to connect your Slack workspace to Feedric and start automatically ingesting customer signals for AI correlation.

Slack Integration Overview

The Slack integration is the heart of Feedric's signal ingestion system. It allows you to automatically capture and correlate customer signals directly from your team's conversations.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your Slack workspace
  • A Feedric account (free plan is fine)
  • Decide which channels you want to monitor

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Navigate to Signal Sources

From your Feedric dashboard, click on "Sources" in the sidebar or go to Settings → Signal Sources.

2. Connect Slack

Click the "Connect Slack" button. You'll be redirected to Slack's authorization page.

Note: You'll need admin permissions to install the Feedric app in your workspace.

3. Authorize the App

Review the permissions requested by Feedric and click "Allow" to authorize the connection.

Required Permissions:
  • • Read messages from channels you select
  • • Post messages to channels (for notifications)
  • • Access channel information

4. Select Channels

Choose which channels you want Feedric to monitor for customer signals. You can select multiple channels.

Tip: Start with channels where you receive the most customer signals, like #feedback, #product, or #support.

Testing Your Setup

  4. Test the search functionality

Success!

Your Slack integration is now active. Feedric will automatically start ingesting and correlating customer signals from your selected channels.

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

If you're having trouble connecting, ensure you have admin permissions and try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration.

Missing Messages

If messages aren't appearing in Feedric, check that the channel is properly selected and that the bot has the necessary permissions.
